You know someone. You know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can’t afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty.

I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography — $1,250 worth, to be exact. Whether it’s canvas or albums, prints for Grandma, or a slideshow to watch over and over, it’s in your power to give them the artwork they deserve this holiday season.

Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner receives a $250 print credit. What better reason to show some love could there possibly be, people?

The rules:

* You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage payments for a two-million-dollar-vacation-home in Paris does not qualify as sincere financial need.)

* The nominee must reside in Illinois. Tell me who you know, what they’re experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.

We are hosting a Halloween Costume Party on Saturday, October 31st from 1 - 3 at the studio.  I absolutely cannot contain my excitement about this event!!!  Kids of all ages are welcome to join in the fun.  We will have treats, costume contests, games and, of course, Halloween pictures!  I want to see all the adorable little kittens and scary ghosts.  I definitely want to see some costumed adults, too.  How many times a year do we really get to feel like a kid again?!  I will be dressed up for the first time in almost 10 years, but I’m not telling who or what I’ll be!  Everyone is invited, so bring your friends and enjoy a spooktackular kickoff to Halloween!

Pictures will be done on a first come, first serve basis and there will be no charge for the sitting.  Discounted packaging will be available the day of the event or regular studio pricing afterwards.

Here is Miss Lillian, not quite 3 months old.  She had the most beautiful eyes!

Soooo, here I am again…very behind on updating the blog.  For those of you that follow me on Facebook, I have been updating my page regularly.  It’s just so easy!  However, this little doll needed to be on the blog.  Miss Libby was an absolute angel.  So precious and totally in love with her mommy.  In the first picture that little smile is all for her mom.   Seriously, how can I not love my job?

Have I ever mentioned how much I love photographing 6-monthers?  I’m sure I have, I must have!  They are so sweet and happy at this age….and stationary!  Camden was no exception.  As an added bonus he’s so easy to get a big grin out of.  I have my new favorite image of the moment, too.  He was quite the little model.
