What a fall we are having!! Cold, rainy weather feels a bit more like spring without the promise of warm weather. Miss Clare braved the frigid temperatures and even laid on the cold ground for a couple of totally worth it shots. I’m just a little crushed that we seem to be missing fall all together, though.
And, don’t forget, the holiday special date is October 25th and is filling up and we have out Halloween Spooktackular Bash on October 31st!

We are hosting a Halloween Costume Party on Saturday, October 31st from 1 – 3 at the studio. I absolutely cannot contain my excitement about this event!!! Kids of all ages are welcome to join in the fun. We will have treats, costume contests, games and, of course, Halloween pictures! I want to see all the adorable little kittens and scary ghosts. I definitely want to see some costumed adults, too. How many times a year do we really get to feel like a kid again?! I will be dressed up for the first time in almost 10 years, but I’m not telling who or what I’ll be! Everyone is invited, so bring your friends and enjoy a spooktackular kickoff to Halloween!
Pictures will be done on a first come, first serve basis and there will be no charge for the sitting. Discounted packaging will be available the day of the event or regular studio pricing afterwards.
No RSVP is required to attend this event, but is greatly appreciated. For more information or to rsvp e-mail info@kvimagery.com or call 309-648-7019.

Our annual Christmas mini-sessions are here again! These sessions offer a shorter session for those of you in need a smaller sitting, just want a few images for Christmas cards, or simply waited too long to get a full session. Also, there is an option for our annual themed set. This year we are featuring Winter Wonderland, a muted-color, wintry set. If you cannot see the above sample images, check out our page on facebook or our blog. (Notice: the blog announcement will not be made until Thursday to give my past clients a first chance at the calendar.) This set is fantastic as it will accommodate both dressy and casual clothing, as well as some costume options (capes, fairies, and angels), and even outdoor winter clothing (hats and scarves). I look forward to having a blast with your families on this set. We will also have a neutral background available for anyone not wanting to utilize the theme set.
Winter Wonderland will be held this year on Sunday, October 25th with Saturday, November 14th as an overflow date. Session fees will be waived and packages will start at $250. Call 648-7019 or e-mail info@kvimagery.com for more information or to book your appointment. Call soon for a preferred appointment time.
Here is Miss Lillian, not quite 3 months old. She had the most beautiful eyes!

I was updating my calendar tonight and realized I am booked solid for the rest of the summer. Not a single space left open before school starts and a little while after. That’s great, but it got me thinking about fall and holiday pictures, which are right around the corner. October is a highly sought-after month, so if you want it, call NOW! I am already unavailable for every Saturday in October. I cannot emphasize enough the need to call now!
I will be releasing special mini-sessions available for the holiday, but I’ll have to post more later.
And what good is a blog post without a picture? Here’s sweet little Cecilia!

Soooo, here I am again…very behind on updating the blog. For those of you that follow me on Facebook, I have been updating my page regularly. It’s just so easy! However, this little doll needed to be on the blog. Miss Libby was an absolute angel. So precious and totally in love with her mommy. In the first picture that little smile is all for her mom. Seriously, how can I not love my job?

Just a few of Nicole from today. Nicole will be one of my reps this year. We didn’t finish up her full session yet. Hopefully next week we’ll get some tolerable weather to wrap it up. Short and sweet tonight…I’m beat and off to bed

Have I ever mentioned how much I love photographing 6-monthers? I’m sure I have, I must have! They are so sweet and happy at this age….and stationary! Camden was no exception. As an added bonus he’s so easy to get a big grin out of. I have my new favorite image of the moment, too. He was quite the little model.

My new fave

I’m back from vacation and as begrudging as it is to return to work, it was a million times tougher today in the sweltering heat. Although, I was fortunate to have a beautiful and fun subject and she brought along a friend who made for a great assistant…to move furniture, make Kelsey laugh, ant removal, whatever. And Kelsey, well, she managed to still look beautiful despite the humidity and the Great Ant Attack of 2009. I managed to stick her right up against an ant colony living in a vine. Poor girl!

And the lovely Miss Lorena (the assistant/bottle holder)

Looking who’s getting caught up on the blog! Kinley and Jameson had their pictures done a couple of weeks ago, but due to my ongoing computer dilemma, I’m just now getting around to posting here. Fortunately, my new computer is up and running, so I hope to be problem-free for a while. Quick, somebody knock on wood for me.
I’ve been photographing this family for about 3 years and Miss Kinley is always a treat. She’s a princess and loves having her picture taken. Okay, “loves” may be stretching it a bit, but she certainly enjoys herself, especially when we get to do dress-up time. Jameson seemed to enjoy herself, too, but not quite as much as her big sis.
