Wow, it’s graduation time for another class of students!  As the 2010 class prepares for the end of this stage of life and prepares for the very exciting next stage, I wanted to post another contest to remember all of the seniors I have photographed this year.   The winner will receive a DVD slideshow of their session in a personalized leather case and a $100 gift card to Target, just to get you started as you go on to college, move out, etc.  Last, but certainly not least, the winner will be featured on the cover of my class of 2010 book to be displayed at the studio.

This year I am going to change up the rules a bit.  I am allowing one vote per person per day.  So make sure you are reminding your friends every day to come out and place a vote for you.  Also, I will add one additional vote per person that adds themselves as a fan on facebook.  You view my page on facebook here: http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/pages/Chillicothe-IL/KV-Imagery-Photography-by-Kara-Vonk/32086472052.  To get this vote, like my page then post a comment on my page wall with the number of the person you are voting for.  This is good for new fans only.

I will quietly disqualify any contestant who appears to be cheating.  It’s only fair to the other contestants and, frankly, cheating stinks.  If you are having trouble voting, please send an e-mail to info@kvimagery.com with your name and what number you vote for.  The contest will run through May 21, 2010.  Also, if you already purchased the DVD, we can talk substitutions   All initial orders from your session must have been placed and paid in full to receive the prize.  If this is not possible, the prize will go to second place.

Our annual fundraiser is wrapping up with just a few orders left to deliver!  No official numbers yet, but I will release the total donation amount at the end of this contest.  As a thank you to all who participated, we are running a Sweet Faces Contest!  The winner will receive a mini accordion brag book from their session.

You know someone. You know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can’t afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty.

I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography — $1,250 worth, to be exact. * You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage payments for a two-million-dollar-vacation-home in Paris does not qualify as sincere financial need.)

We are hosting a Halloween Costume Party on Saturday, October 31st from 1 – 3 at the studio.  I absolutely cannot contain my excitement about this event!!!  Kids of all ages are welcome to join in the fun.  We will have treats, costume contests, games and, of course, Halloween pictures!  I want to see all the adorable little kittens and scary ghosts.  I definitely want to see some costumed adults, too.  How many times a year do we really get to feel like a kid again?!  I will be dressed up for the first time in almost 10 years, but I’m not telling who or what I’ll be!  Everyone is invited, so bring your friends and enjoy a spooktackular kickoff to Halloween!

Pictures will be done on a first come, first serve basis and there will be no charge for the sitting.  Discounted packaging will be available the day of the event or regular studio pricing afterwards.
